Dr. Asem Shadid is an R3 Dermatology resident at the Department of Dermatology, King Fahad

Medical City, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Asem graduated with the MBBS degree from Al- Imam

Mohammad Ibn Saud University (IMSIU), Saudi Arabia in 2019 ranking 3rd on his batch, with first-

class honors, and was included in the dean's list at the time of graduation. Asem is interested in

research and has more than 25 publications in multiple highly regarded, peer-reviewed indexed

journals (Local and International). Asem presented his work at 20 different conferences and

symposiums (Local and International) and he won first place in oral and poster presentations five

times. Due to Asem’s academic excellence and his distinguished interpersonal, and

communication skills, he has been elected in various leadership roles throughout the years that

have sharpened his skills in dealing with colleagues, faculty, and patients. Asem organized more

than 15 campaigns, conferences, and workshops with different institutions that help build up his

communication skills. Asem is currently the chief of dermatology residents at the Saudi

Dermatology Residency Program in the central region.
